Andrew Hillier


Andrew Hillier has been an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and of Chemistry at Iowa State University since 2003. He began his teaching career as an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Virginia in 1996, becoming an Associate Professor in 2002.

His research focuses on studying the solid-liquid interface and includes the broader topics of interfacial engineering, materials synthesis and characterization, electrochemistry and combinatorial discovery.

Dr Hillier's research and teaching have been recognized with awards, including a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation and a Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research.
