Lawrence F. Drbal


Dr. Larry Drbal has been employed by Black and Veatch since 1975 and serves both as Project Manager and Associate Vice President. Currently, he is Project Manager for the River Bend COL Application Project for Entergy Nuclear.

Previously, Dr. Drbal was the Licensing/Technical Compliance and Assistant Engineering Manager for the Lungmen Nuclear Project which designed and procured equipment for two GE ABWR nuclear islands. Drbal also served as the Project Manager for the Ft. St. Vrain Repowering Project which added the first 232 MW combined cycle unit to an existing steam turbine generator, replacing a high temperature, gas-coolednuclear reactor power souce. This was an EPC project.

Dr. Drbal is also an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at the University of Missouri, Kansas City where he teaches a class about power generation systems.
