Seminar Abstracts:The class will work together to select six (6) seminars and/or colloquiums to attend during the fall semester 2008. After each seminar write an abstract and submit it via email to Professor Velander within 48 hours.
- Over-arching theme
- Most important themes
- Positive and negative findings
- Contribution to literature
- Should contain 250 words
Final Presentation:Each student will give a 20 minute seminar to the class, followed by a 10 minute question and answer session.
Topic:the seminar should be based on two (2) scientific publications of one of the seminar speakers you attended during the semester.
You must prepare an abstract and distribute it to the class one (1) week in advance of your seminar date.
All seminars will be presented during the last two weeks of classes. The date(s) and time(s) will be mutually decided by the class.
